Welcome to The Together Group!
We exist to support your success and your sanity. Period.
In our travels, we’ve noticed tons of management and organization resources out there for folks in “office” jobs, but very few for people working in or near schools – people on their feet most of the day, working in invigorating yet unpredictable environments, with a passion for and commitment to their service.
From this absence, The Together Group was born. We work with teachers, school leaders, social workers, operations staff, district central offices, and nonprofits with many education-related missions.
Perhaps you’re buried in papers that need grading? Overwhelmed by emails? Scrambling to prepare for a meeting? Tired of staying up late to complete progress reports? Always hungry at the end of the day? Behind on data analysis? Procrastinating on a project plan? Constantly rescheduling dinner with your OWN family?
The Together Group is here to help.
As a former teacher, nonprofit executive, and district-level leader (and a current parent of two small children!), I completely understand how talented people with great intentions can quickly become frustrated and exhausted.
If you feel this way too, I can assure you that you are not alone. And I also promise it can get easier. Many of us assume that our lives will always be harried and out of control. I am here to tell you that you can enjoy your job AND your life, with planning, tools, routines—and a dose of old-fashioned discipline.
Consider this website your refuge. Stop by anytime for relief and inspiration. In addition to peace of mind that you’re not alone, we offer 3 parts new ideas to help you get your stuff together, 2 parts supportive coaching (picture the guys that whisper in the boxer’s ears and squirt water in his mouth between rounds), and 2 parts takeaway resources, networking and idea sharing.
Maybe all of the ideas won’t work for you, but I guarantee you’ll feel a change just by trying out some, like the ones on our Get Started list.
Like what you see and want to learn more? Explore our blog, subscribe to our monthly newsletter, and follow us on Twitter and Pinterest. You can also email me anytime with questions, suggestions or feedback, and I promise to write back. Seriously, I do!
I look forward to joining you on your journey to increase your Togetherness—just enough to make a difference.
With much respect and admiration,
