An age-old challenge for those of us who work in schools is how to manage wandering the building while also balancing our precarious stack of laptop, notebook, coffee mug, water bottle, and pen. And maybe also our snack, extra masks, band-aids, and phone! Sadly, it all can’t be stuffed into a fanny pack, and sometimes a Together File Box isn’t quite the right tool! So naturally, when school leader Josh O. showed off his tote bag in a recent class, I begged to see more.
Josh keeps these essentials in his Together Tote:
- clipboard with teacher rubric and notebook
- pen
- water bottle (he tells us he used to always lose this in classrooms!)
- glasses (to remind himself to wear them!)
- and sometimes his laptop (if he knows he won’t be back in his office for a while)
Let’s look up close:
Josh says, “Carrying my tote has helped me so much with being a more organized leader. I no longer lose my clipboard or need to run across the building to send an email!”
